IDEA Act

The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) is a federal law that ensures children with disabilities have access to free and appropriate public education. Below are some resources that can help your kiddo with superpowers succeed in an educational setting based on their unique strnegths and challenges. 

504 Plan

A 504 plan is a written document that provides accommodations for students with disabilities in public schools. The plan is named after Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, which prohibits discrimination against people with disabilities

IEP

An IEP, or Individualized Education Program, is a legal document that outlines a child's special education goals and services. IEPs are created for children with learning challenges in public schools. 


An IEP provides more comprehensive support and services to students with disabilities than a 504 Plan
