Domestic Violence also called "intimate partner violence" is defined by the UN as a pattern of behavior in any relationship that is used to gain or maintain power and control over an intimate partner. It can include but is not limited to
- physical violence,
- sexual violence,
- emotional abuse,
- verbal abuse.
